Credit Cards Credit cards refers to those plastic cards which are used an instrument of credit. Credit cards are usually issued by most banks both at the regional and international level. Credit cards are not a replacement for money but they enable you to make purchases on credit and pay for them later. You can even borrow money by using credit cards. Whatever transactions you make you are liable to pay interest if you do not repay within the specified term. The interest rates of credit cards vary from place to place and from bank to bank. One must understand the fact that if they do not make a judicious use of the credit cards heavy interests have to be paid in the later stage. Using a credit card is simple. After one gets a credit card from a bank and shops for an accessory in the store authorized by the banker he has to swipe the card in the transaction processing machine. The machine will read the code and generate a receipt. You must sign in the receipt after verifying the price and other details like quantity of goods. Once that is done the banker will pay the shopkeeper on producing the receipt and you will be required to pay the banker on the due date. This is the mechanism under which a credit card works.
