Fleet Card
Fleet cards are one of the varieties of commercial or corporate credit cards issued to federal agencies and to corporations for a specific usage. Fleet cards are restricted to the expenditures associated with maintaining any fleet of vehicles.

The primary advantage to federal offices and corporations afforded by usage specific corporate cards is enhanced expenditure reporting and user control. The statement data returned on use specific cards goes beyond the information normally reported. More specific information will be supplied such as type of fuel purchased and in what quantity. While a consumer card would show a purchase was made at a given filling station for X amount of money, a corporate card would indicate that the purchase made was for 25 gallons of unleaded fuel at $2.49 a gallon.
