Chinese national charged with trafficking in credit cards The Royal Canadian Mounted Police teaming up with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Hong Kong Police, have filed charges against one person for the illegal traffic in credit cards. The accused is a Chinese Canadian national Jie ZHENG, 21 years old, residing in Stonehill Court, Toronto, Ontario. Police intercepted a parcel that was being transported from Hong Kong to Toronto. It was found to contain semi - finished counterfeit credit cards (totally 132) which had been concealed in some tea. Jie ZHENG a resident of Toronto accepted the package. In a statement issued to the press Inspector Brian Verheul said "Maintaining confidence in the various payment systems we utilize daily is an important part of sustaining economic integrity." Mr ZHENG is scheduled to appear for his first appearance in court on September 11, 2006 at Scarborough Court. More Details... |
